Our Team
Mary Robin Baziak, CPA
Mary Robin began her accounting career in 1997 after earning a bachelor’s degree at UCSB.
She started in the Orange County (OC) office of KPMG, LLP in the personal financial planning practice, working with high net worth individuals, athletes, and entertainers. After five years, Mary Robin joined the KPMG, LLP Real Estate Group, focusing on real estate-related businesses.
In 2006 Mary Robin helped open the OC location of HCVT, LLP. There she built on her real estate and high net worth individual expertise by branching out to private equity clients.
After over a decade working for large accounting firms, she struck out on her own in 2011 and opened Baziak & Co. in an effort to more closely manage her relationship with clients. Listening to so many of her clients looking for a trusted, efficient, and service-oriented solution to their bookkeeping needs she co-founded Accountable in 2024 to meet all their bookkeeping needs.
Robert Ristau, CFA
Rob graduated from Princeton in 2002 and has spent the last 20 years working in the financial services industry as an investor at two large New York-based asset managers.
Over time he has become passionate about business process but more importantly both client and employee satisfaction. After speaking to his sister Mary Robin about her clients’ shortfalls with traditional bookkeeper services, he co-founded Accountable to help scale Mary Robin’s existing business, building best-of-breed IT infrastructure to ensure customer success.
Heidi Ristau
After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991, and later the USC Marshall School of Business, Heidi has spent her career in various roles in large organizations.
She has helped Mary Robin grow her accounting business over the last several years, and helped co-found Accountable in order to build on their joint success.
